This fascinating debut set in Japan drew me into the world of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. I have to admit, neither the setting nor the scene were familiar to me, but these characters and this story will leave you breathless!

Kiersti Giron's portrayal of this place and time in history is equal parts heartwrenching and beautiful. All of the characters are so deep and genuinely written, whether you love them right away or they grow on you. (I even fell in love with a family of goats!)
Highly recommend!
